NEW ERA COLLECTION
The NEW ERA collection is the most recent of the Franc Vilá collections.
With this collection, Franc takes another step in his professional career and begins a new stage where his sculptures stop being figurative and make us reflect on the origin of life and human evolution.
This series of sculptures begins with Origin, which represents the arrival of life on earth through a meteorite, which breaks the monotony of the sculpture. It continues with Evolution, which is an evolution of Paleolithic Venus, adapting them to current beauty standards, and ends with New Life, this same Venus with a prominent belly, which carries the new generations that will populate the earth.
All the pieces in the collection are made of stainless steel, one of the most resistant and difficult-to-handle materials.
ORIGIN
Origin is the first piece in the set of non-figurative works by the sculptor Franc Vilà.
In the vastness and emptiness of space, life was created. Origin shows an inert land. The impact of a meteorite brings life, latent inside.
The stainless steel monolith levitating in the dark represents the earth before life, simple, colorless, cold and inert to the changes around it. The meteorite, full of color and light, with the life inside it, collides. He breaks the monochrome of the piece and makes his way through it.
Our reflection when observing the sculpture makes us part of it, making us aware that we are all part of the life that came to Earth more than 4 million years ago.

This sculpture reflects the artist's feeling of breaking the silence to give way to a life of color.

Evolution represents the transformation of humanity.
An allegory of beauty, evolving the image of the ancient Paleolithic Venus, broad figures with marked attributes and made of clay, wood and bone, and transforming it into a figure with a discreet outline, tall, slender and made of stainless steel, a material relatively new and difficult to manipulate.
With it, they want to reflect the human evolution and the form throughout the centuries, reaching the present, where simplicity and purity want to recover their place.
The work itself, with the minimum figurative expression, takes the ancient canons of feminine beauty and brings them to the present, expressed in a present and benevolent figure.

Evolution is the transformation of perfection and pure beauty.
The Venuses were symbols of fertility and love in mythology. This EVOLUTION of the Venus reflects the simplicity of the female form through perfection.

NEW LIFE
New Life is a variant of the Evolution sculpture, a sculptural representation of the evolution of the female figure as it passes through humanity.
This non-figurative work, which presents the minimum expression, is interpreted as the body of a woman who harbors a new life inside.
This work intends to honor women and their fundamental role throughout the centuries for human evolution, sheltering life inside and later nursing and raising this new life.
The evolution of this work is also reflected in additive technology. It is the first sculpture in the world created with this technique.
Thus, this new life makes its way into the future continued with evolution.
